Costa Ofrynio Booking was present at the 5th Bike Friendly Forum 2025, held on Saturday, November 15th in Thessaloniki, as part of the international Philoxenia exhibition. The Group’s COO Hospitality, Mr. Karl Chehab, participated in the speakers’ panel, representing the region and presenting Costa Ofrynio Booking’s initiatives to promote sustainable tourism and elevate the cycling experience.
The Bike Friendly Forum is an established institution dedicated to advancing cycling tourism and sustainable mobility practices in Greece. Each year, it brings together industry professionals, institutional representatives, and businesses that actively invest in environmentally responsible hospitality. This year’s forum focused on sustainable transportation, sports tourism, best practices implemented by certified businesses, and partnerships that foster the development of thematic tourism.
During the panel titled “Applied Practices in Hotels and Visitor-Friendly Spaces,” Mr. Chehab presented Ofrynio Beach as a destination that has genuinely embraced the bike-friendly philosophy. He highlighted the area’s unique features where sea, mountain, and nature trails intersect to create the ideal setting for cycling excursions. In his address, he emphasized the infrastructure that supports cycling tourism, the services being developed for visitors who choose to explore the area by bicycle, and the pivotal role of sustainability in the overall hospitality experience offered by Costa Ofrynio Booking. As he noted, “Our goal is to shape a destination that goes beyond the typical summer holiday and delivers an authentic, active, and environmentally conscious experience.”
Participation in the Bike Friendly Forum 2025 further strengthens Ofrynio Beach’s position as an emerging destination for sustainable hospitality. The Group continues to invest in practices that respect the natural environment and enhance the quality of the visitor experience, contributing to the creation of a new identity for tourism in Northern Greece.
